Tryptone Soya Agar (TSA)
Oxoid Mac Conkey Agar No. 3 is a selective medium for detect and enumerate coliform organisms, including Escherichia coli, while isolating and detecting Salmonella and Shigella spp. in both clinical and food specimens.
The medium gives improved differentiation between coliforms and non-lactose fermenting organisms whilst Gram-positive cocci are completely inhibited.

Tryptone Soya Agar (TSA) is a versatile general-purpose agar medium that supports the growth of many organisms, including both aerobes and anaerobes.
It can be used as a blood agar base (by adding 7% sterile blood) to observe haemolysis and for preparing “chocolate” agar.
