Product Description

Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Potato Dextrose Agar (Dehydrated) is used to isolate and quantify yeasts and molds from dairy products and foods.

It is also suitable for preparing Aspergillus niger for harmonized microbial limit tests following international pharmacopoeial standards (EP/USP/JP).

This medium is particularly highlighted for its ability to detect heat-resistant molds in processed fruits and to support the production of appropriate pigments, which are essential for mold identification (e.g., Fusaria spp.).
