Dichloran-Glycerol (DG18) Agar Base (Dehydrated) is a selective medium for isolating and enumerating yeasts and molds, particularly from dried and semi-dried foods.

Its low water activity (0.95, due to 16% glycerol) enhances the recovery of xerophilic molds often missed by other media.

The inclusion of Dichloran inhibits mucoraceous fungi spreading and restricts other colony sizes, simplifying enumeration and identification.
